A great article by a professional Arachnologist explaining that if you think you’ve ever been bitten by a spider, you are probably if not definitely mistaken, which is common knowledge to people who understand these animals.
Too bad the idea of spiders regularly biting people is so deeply ingrained in everyone else’s mind.

For as much as I love the movie The Grey, I have to acknowledge how ridiculously the wolves are portrayed. It’s catering to the idea that wolves are mindless, bloodthirsty beasts, and though they aren’t exactly labrador puppies either, this can provoke violence against wolves because of increased fear, etc.
On the contrary, I didn’t take the “out of character”-ness of the wolves too...
